Waves Group Shares FFOD Experience at the International Group P&I Correspondents’ Conference 2017 (24-26 September)
We were invited by the International Group of P&I Clubs to present to over 500 delegates at the Correspondents’ Conference, held at the Queen Elizabeth II Centre in central London between the 24th and 26th September 2017 (see https://igconference.org/).
The presentation was on the investigation and management of incidents involving Fixed and Floating Objects (FFO) and was given by Dennis Kelly, a Director of Waves Group and a leading industry specialist in FFO cases. Dennis shared with the conference over 20 years of international experience in FFO, covering hundreds of cases in over 60 countries and illustrated the important role of the survey in all stages of a case, from being first on the scene through to monitoring of the restoration works.
We have a dedicated team of Maritime Civil Engineers, with commercial diving capabilities, that provide specialist expertise when investigating FFO incidents and work closely with our master mariners and naval architects to investigate causation, manage the incident, mitigate losses and monitor the repairs and reconstruction.
If you would like to know more about our FFO capabilities or the services that we offer for the development of new port facilities (including the marine aspects, due diligence and programme management), please contact us. We would be very happy to discuss your needs and how we may assist.
