June 5, 2023
L-R Brian Armour and Aurélien Edy
As we celebrate the start of our fifth year of successful operations in Singapore, we are pleased to announce the expansion of the team to further develop the Marine Warranty Surveying (MWS), marine casualty response and port development services across the APAC Region.
The appointment of Aurelien Edy will strengthen the naval architecture offering with specialism in marine cable operations and design. The return of Brian Armour, a Maritime Civil Engineer, expands the ports and terminal team, and also reinforces Waves Group’s ‘Rapid First Responder’ capability in marine casualties across the APAC region.
They join Jeroen Overbeek, APAC Regional Manager and Maritime Civil Engineer, Captain Rajesh Raman, Master Mariner, Yu Ling Mok and Li Liu, Naval Architects. The team is technically and operationally strong with over 100 years’ experience combined.
Our activities in Singapore over the past 4 years, have positioned us as one the leading marine and offshore engineering consultancies in the region, providing our clients with a one-stop-shop suite of services on all shipping related incidents, offshore energy projects and ports and terminals. Our team has an impressive record in renewable energy having successfully delivered major offshore wind projects in Taiwan, Vietnam and Japan as Marine Warranty Surveyors. Our casualty response has included management of salvage and wreck removals, major FFO damage investigations, allisions, port suitability studies, business interruption claims and container stack collapses.
As this year progresses, we look forward to forming mutual partnerships and collaborations, using our years of knowledge and experience to better serve our clients globally.
