Waves Group Appoints New APAC Regional Manager to Lead Singapore Operations

Waves Group welcomes Jeroen Overbeek to our Maritime Civil Engineering team.
We are delighted to welcome Jeroen Overbeek as our APAC Regional Manager. Jeroen will lead our multidiscipline team in Singapore and develop our operations across Asia assisting our clients in issues relating to the investigation maritime casualties, offshore energy projects and Marine Warranty operations.
As a member of our global team of Maritime Civil Engineers, he specialises in the investigation of Fixed & Floating Object (FFO) damage incidents, port development and operations, and business interruption claims.
Jeroen is an experienced Civil Engineer with over 30 years of experience with an extensive international background in the planning, design, procurement, construction and repair of a wide range of maritime, port and terminal infrastructure works. He is experienced in the provision of maritime civil engineering consultancy services to shipowners, authorities, contractors, lawyers, and other maritime parties.
Jeroen has worked closely with operators and mariners as well as other design specialists in disciplines such as coastal engineering and geotechnical engineering and has published joint papers on these subjects.
He also has extensive experience in the preparation of designs for port infrastructure including jetties and quays for LNG, liquid bulk, containers, solid bulk, heavy lift and passenger vessels from concept level through to detailed design and construction engineering as well as mooring analyses and berthing simulations.
Jeroen has also engaged in the design review and verification of third-party designs which includes marine infrastructures such as quay walls, approach trestles, berthing and mooring dolphins, breakwaters, revetments, scour protection and other marine structures.
We are pleased to welcome Jeroen to our Singapore team to further expand our casualty response capabilities in the Asian and Pacific (APAC) region. He will join Rajesh Raman Master Mariner, Li Liu and Yu Ling Mok who are both Naval Architects.
