Roberto is a Naval Architect and an Associate Member of the Royal Institution of Naval Architects. His experience spans from Naval Architecture work on the implementation of Flettner rotor energy saving devices to marine consultancy work on projects in the Baltic Sea, Malaysia, and the UK.

He is conversant with the current EEDI/EEXI regulations imposed by the IMO and has supported litigation cases for P&I Clubs by performing AIS data analysis or identifying potential cybersecurity flaws on ships. He also has experience with QRA approaches for salvage and wreck removals projects.

Roberto has participated in the EU funded FLARE project, helping to create a risk-based Embarkation and Launching (E&L) analysis of a cruise ship.

He also has experience on offshore renewable projects, conducting hydrodynamic analyses of floating wind structures, as well as feasibility studies for offshore green hydrogen production from floating offshore wind.

He is also the recipient of the Kirk Memorial Prize for accomplishments achieved during his studies at the University of Strathclyde.
