Project Description:

At the request of our client, we were asked to provide a broad range of marine services to support the multi-shipment transportation of a large number of modules including pre-assembled pipe racks, pre-assembled processing units and towers from the East Coast of Spain, across the Bay of Biscay to Belgium.

The scope of work undertaken by Mwaves included:

• Motions analyses;
• Design loading conditions;
• Grillage and seafastening detailed design;
• Tug specification;
• Barge strength analyses;
• Load-out/Load-in ballasting calculations.

As the project required close collaboration with our client and a detailed understanding of the dynamic project, Mwaves dedicated an engineer who spent large amounts of time at the clients office along side the clients project team. Additional resources and input was provided from our team of naval architects, structural engineers and master mariners.
