Announcing Waves Group’s Global Expansion – Singapore Office Now Open
February 26, 2019
CapitaGreen Home of Waves Group Singapore
Due to the global demand for our casualty management and maritime civil engineering capabilities, Waves Group is pleased to announce the opening of our Singapore Office. The office opened this month and will help us better serve the Asia and Pacific (APAC) region. The Singapore office will also enable us to respond quickly to marine casualties and support other projects more efficiently within the region.
Drawing on the successes we have had in 2018, in both the shipping and offshore industries and our recognition as one of the leading offshore marine and engineering consultancies, we believe this is the next phase in our evolution and growth as a company.
We have invested heavily in our casualty response capabilities with the addition of our Maritime Digitalisation services, coupled with the appointments of two additional SCRs to the Lloyd’s SCR Panel, Simon Burnay and Allan Stuart who join Nigel James. With 3 SCRs supported by an experienced multi-disciplinary team of maritime civil engineers, master mariners, marine engineers and naval architects, we can manage large-scale casualties over an extended period of time.
We have appointed Brian Armour a maritime civil engineer, with over 16 years’ experience within the industry, to lead our operations in Singapore. Brian also has over 10 years’ experience working within engineering, procurement and project management (EPCM) teams and has extensive experience in the design and construction management of marine infrastructure projects. Brian will reinforce our strength in maritime civil engineering and Fixed & Floating Object (FFO) damage investigations worldwide. He is already well established with the P&I Clubs and maritime lawyers within the APAC region.
The office is strategically located in Market Street in the heart of the City and will also help us to improve our communications and customer relations removing the time zone barriers between Asia and Europe.
Waves Group’s aim is to assist companies that operate within the casualty sector namely: P&I Clubs, underwriters and lawyers to mitigate risk and achieve quick resolutions in casualty assessment, FFO claims, salvage and wreck removals. We are devoted to maintaining the same consistently high service quality that our clients currently enjoy on a worldwide basis.
We would like to thank all our customers, partners, family and friends for their continued support and look forward to many new opportunities for continued growth.
